Introduction
Hi! I'm Camila Elizarraraz, a first-year student at Notre Dame, studying Economics. I'm from Mexico, though I've lived a little more than half of my life in Texas now.
Why study Japanese?
Since I'm in the College of Arts and Letters and need to take a language, I decided on Japanese. I've been wanting to learn a third language, and I wasn't sure which one to choose. I enjoy watching anime and reading manga, so learning Japanese seemed like a good fit. I'd also like to visit Japan someday!
Super nice to get to know you better! I have lots of family in Texas; I hope you were able to brave the cold temperatures when school started last week! Do you have a favorite anime? I just finished "Komi Can't Communicate" and really enjoyed it. じゃあまたね :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is super cute! I love the colors you picked, and I'm so excited to be in class with you! You should totally visit Japan someday, I'd recommend Tokyo if you're a city person or Iwakuni if you're looking for a more laid back experience!
ReplyDeleteHi Camila! I also think learning Japanese is going to be a fun experience, due to being able to connect it with anime and manga. I've tried to look at some lyrics to some openings for some hiragana recognition practice, do you have any favorite anime openings?
