『SPY×FAMILY』OP「SOUVENIR」

こんにちは!

The video I watched was the music video of the second opening song of SPYxFAMILY, an adorable and wholesome anime that I've been watching lately! [おすすめします (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)]

The music video includes lyrics, although only in Japanese. When I only listened to the song, I couldn't really tell what the singer was saying.

I decided to look up the translation to try to catch more words and understand what the song is about. I clicked on the following link:

This website did help me understand the message! The song is about a person who is collecting memories and following a path toward that person, like keeping souvenirs of important moments!

The website also showed the Japanese lyrics as well as romaji. One thing that grabbed my attention was the use of te-form verbs like あるいて, one of the verbs from Lesson 6! The verb 'run' also was in its te-form (はしる --> はしって). I actually did not know this verb, but now I'll remember!

Final Thoughts: This song was adorable! I loved the visuals in the video as well, the Forger family from the anime is very wholesome. The video gives a glimpse of the anime itself as well as moments of the family.

I also recommend looking up the lyrics to Japanese songs, not only to understand the song's message, but also as reading practice by focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and even sentence structure.

See you next time!
